Job Title: Document Engineer

The Document Engineer will produce a wide range of document types in a team-oriented environment. The Document Engineer uses existing electronic files, proven production methods and advanced-level formatting skills to create both English and non-English technical literature. The position requires clear communication with production and translation managers, lead document specialists, artists and proofreaders. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of document production experience.


  • Review and discuss each project assigned to determine source file locations, approved procedures, customer history/preferences and desired end product.
  • Efficiently use provided platform, program version, templates and text to produce required documents.
  • Prepare drafts for quality control, write queries for translators and customers, utilize proof mark-ups.
  • Coordinate efforts with coworkers to meet scheduled due dates.


  • Minimum 4 years experience in template-heavy production environment using InDesign — further experience in FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress and/or other desktop publishing software preferred
  • Comfortable performance in both PC and Mac platforms
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, html, xml)
  • Expert-level application skills (template-building, multi-layer design, etc.) appreciated, college degree a plus

Job Title: Translation Services Manager

The Translation Services Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with fast turnover of translation schedules in-house. The Translation Services Manager serves as liaison between clients (internal and external) and a global network of linguists. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communicating specific detailed instructions to linguists, along with managing workflows and processes. This position is accountable for the final quality assurance of translation and real-time, accurate recording of activities. A minimum 18 months previous project management experience in translation services is required.


  • Review the jobs assigned and assess needs for additional information, e.g. compilation of glossaries, previously translated similar documents, list of acronyms, technical terminology, and translation memories.
  • Manage translation and linguistic assets to ensure compliance with Company’s production workflows and ensure that quality and turn-around standards are met.
  • Select and assign translation teams, negotiate rates and deadlines, and coordinate production with translators, proofreaders, in-country (client’s) reviewers, typesetters, and Customer Service Reps.


  • BA or BS degree with a major in a non-English language and/or equivalent translation or interpretation experience
  • Fluency in English and at least 1 other language
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, html, xml)
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing software (InDesign, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker)
  • Linguistic skills to include ability to create glossaries and to assess quality and completeness of translations
  • Advanced translation memory experience including TRADOS, Studio 11, Multiterm IX, context, glossary and file management
